Financial Aid at CMU
Nearly half of our undergraduate students rely on some type of financial aid to pay for educational expenses, and many of our graduates are offered departmental funding or rely on other resources like loans.
Meeting the cost of higher education is a significant but rewarding investment. Carnegie Mellon is committed to providing a comprehensive financial aid program that meets you where you are. Depending on your circumstances, financial aid offers may be comprised of scholarships, grants, student employment and loans. We meet 100% of demonstrated financial need, which is determined through your financial aid application and your family’s resources such as assets and income.
